Why Upgrade?

The factory tube-and-fin intercooler was engineered for modest boost levels and airflow. When you tune your car or increase boost, the stock intercooler quickly becomes overwhelmed, leading to heat soak, reduced power output, and a higher risk of engine knock or pre-detonation at high RPMs.

Intercooler Core Technology

The heart of any intercooler is its core, which cools charged air before it enters the engine. VRSF solves OEM limitations with a custom bar and plate core design featuring staggered and offset high-density internal and external fin packs. This carefully tuned core maximizes intake temperature reduction while maintaining minimal pressure drop, outperforming the stock core in both efficiency and durability.

Our bar & plate core is also far more resilient against road debris compared to the fragile OEM tube and fin design.

• 5” Performance Stepped HD Core: On a stock turbo setup, intake temps rise only 0-3°F during a 3rd gear pull, dramatically less than the OEM’s 32°F increase.

• 7” Competition HD Core: Can even reduce intake temps during heavy acceleration due to larger surface area.

• Ultra High Density Race Core: For builds pushing beyond 650whp, this 1000hp-capable bar and plate core is 134% larger than stock, ideal for large twin or single turbo setups.

Installation Details

• 7” & 7.5” Race Cores: Require minor trimming of black plastic shroud behind bumper; bumper remains untouched.
