🌽 Nostrum Flex Fuel Sensor Kit – BMW F-Series

Run E85, 93, or Any Blend – Safely & Seamlessly

âś… Say Goodbye to Pump Blending Guesswork

Tired of juggling premium gas and ethanol to get your mix just right? Let Nostrum’s Flex Fuel Kit do the work for you. Designed for all BMW F-Series platforms, this kit enables your tuner to fully leverage E85, 93 octane, or any blend in between—accurately, reliably, and safely.

With a pre-mounted ethanol sensor bracket, direct-fit fuel line adapters, and compatibility with leading ethanol content analyzers, this kit is the ideal plug-and-play solution for flex fuel tuning.

🔧 Kit Includes:

  • Pre-mounted ethanol content sensor

  • Vehicle-specific mounting bracket

  • Direct-fit adapter fuel lines for factory integration

  • Ready for use with analyzers like:

    • Nostrum ESIMM

    • Fuel-It! Bluetooth Analyzer (view content on mobile)

    • Zeitronix ECA-2 CANBus (for ECU integration)

đź’ˇ Note: A compatible ethanol content analyzer is required to display readings.
This kit alone does not enable tuning for flex fuel. Tuning support is required.

đź’¬ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does your E85 horsepower rating seem lower than 93 octane?
A: Power numbers represent fuel system capacity assuming all other engine systems are optimized (airflow, internals, etc.). While E85 has lower energy density, it allows for more aggressive tuning thanks to its higher knock resistance. So actual power output can still exceed 93 octane in practice—but mathematically, gasoline systems require less flow to hit the same energy output.

Q: Why not just add port injection instead of upgrading DI components?
A: While some tuners prefer port injection (PFI) add-ons, direct injection (DI) upgrades offer better charge cooling, combustion efficiency, and reliability. Relying on PFI alone in a DI motor can lead to overheating the injectors and damaging internal seals—especially under high load. DI upgrades are typically more power-capable and safer long-term.
